Spring is here

We had an amazing evening on Saturday with the Dunfermline Choral Union – Spring Concert.  The choir and orchestra sounded incredible and gave a great performance to a full house.

Below is a brief review originally posted on the DCU Facebook Page.

“Many thanks to everyone who came to our concert last night. We’ve had such lovely comments and messages, many from people who found the ‘Materna Requiem’ an amazing and emotional experience. Our inspirational MD Mandy Miller always urges us not to underestimate the power of music to affect and touch people’s lives and that was certainly true last night. The choir, orchestra and soloists came together to create a live performance of Rebecca Dale’s music that blew us all away and it was a privilege to be part of it!”

This is a review from Emily Mitchell.

Lovely concert last night with Dunfermline Choral Union. The Scottish Premiere of Rebecca Dales Materna Requiem, and Fauré Requiem. The choir were on fine form, with some really special moments especially in the Fauré. It was particularly special for me to perform alongside the sonorous and sumptuous tones of Jerome Knox, getting to enjoy his lush ‘Liberame Domine’ (a favourite of mine), and the ever lyrical Seumas Begg, who gave a particularly wonderful rendition of Dale’s ‘Pie Jesu’. All in all, a rather excellent evening. Always a pleasure to sing with Dunfermline Choral Union.
